My Story

A Journey Through Words, Emotions, and Reinvention

Poetry entered my life as a quiet conversation with emotions I did not always know how to explain.

Growing up in India, I was drawn to words early — not simply as a form of expression, but as a way to understand the complexity of human emotions. Poetry became a space where questions about love, belonging, identity, and ambition could exist without simple answers.

Over time, writing evolved from private reflection into something much larger. My work began resonating with readers who saw their own stories reflected in the emotions I wrote about. Through prose-poetry, I found a way to articulate feelings that many people experience but struggle to express — heartbreak, vulnerability, resilience, longing, and the courage required to reinvent oneself.

Between Two Worlds

My journey eventually took me across continents, from India to the United States, exposing me to different cultures, perspectives, and ways of understanding identity. Living between worlds deepened my appreciation for storytelling as a universal language — one that connects people across geography, background, and experience.

This cross-cultural experience shaped not just my writing, but my understanding of identity itself. I learned that belonging isn't always about a physical place — it's about finding spaces where your story is heard and understood.

Finding Voice Through Vulnerability

Today, my work focuses on exploring the emotional landscape of modern life: relationships, ambition, healing, cultural belonging, and the quiet transformations that shape who we become.

I write about love — not just romantic love, but the love we give ourselves when we choose to heal. I write about heartbreak — not as an ending, but as a beginning of self-discovery. I write about identity — the continuous process of becoming who we are meant to be.

My poetry is an invitation to pause, reflect, and recognize that the emotions we often hide are the ones that connect us most deeply to our shared humanity.

The Power of Micro-Narratives

In an age of endless scrolling and fractured attention, I discovered the power of micro-poetry — short, emotionally concentrated pieces that capture a complete feeling in just a few lines. These micro-narratives became my signature, allowing readers to experience profound emotional moments in the time it takes to drink a cup of coffee.

With more than 1,000 published micro-poems, I've witnessed how brevity can amplify impact. A well-crafted verse can linger in someone's mind for days, weeks, even years — proof that size doesn't diminish significance.

Writing as Healing

For me, writing has always been a form of healing — not in the sense that it erases pain, but that it gives pain meaning. Every poem is an attempt to understand a feeling more deeply, to honor it, and to transform it into something that might help someone else feel less alone.

Through my bestselling books "You Belong With Me" and "Why Did You Let Me Go?", I've explored the full spectrum of love and loss. These works emerged from personal experiences, but they belong to everyone who has ever loved deeply, lost painfully, and found the courage to begin again.

A Global Conversation

What began as a personal journey has evolved into a global conversation. My work has reached readers across India, the Middle East, and the United States, creating a community of people who believe in the power of emotional honesty.

Through poetry readings, literary events, podcast conversations, and social media, I've had the privilege of connecting with thousands of individuals who share their own stories of heartbreak, resilience, and transformation. These conversations remind me why I write — to create bridges of understanding in an often isolating world.

"Writing is not about having all the answers. It's about honoring the questions that make us human."

Looking Forward

As I continue this journey, I remain committed to exploring the emotional depths of human experience. There are still so many stories to tell, so many emotions to give language to, so many hearts seeking connection and understanding.

Through poetry, I hope to create moments of reflection where readers recognize parts of themselves in the stories being told. I hope to elevate poetry as a vital contemporary art form — one that speaks to the complexities of modern life with honesty, grace, and emotional intelligence.

This is my story, but in many ways, it's also yours. Because the best stories are the ones we recognize ourselves in.
